Bio:
David Garry grew up in central Connecticut, where he caught the acting bug early on during his time at Haddam-Killingworth High School in the late 80's. From performing in the musicals and plays there, he also was a member and performer of the renowned Oddfellows Playhouse (the children's and teen repertory company). For work then, he had been a staff member at the famed Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT, as well as a drama program instructor for local summer camps. Moving to New York City in the early '90s, David performed in college theatre productions, honed skills with acting, voice, and movement classes, and also sought out local community theatre to perform in, leading to his first paid acting gigs. David moved to Los Angeles in the mid-90's, joined the Screen Actors Guild early after the move, and had become a performing member of Theatre Neo, the award-winning theatre company (currently with the name of 'Neo Ensemble Theatre'). He also had worked as crew for 'Just Shoot Me' for the duration of the television series, playing multiple characters each week on set for the purpose of network run-thrus, etc., leading to playing the recurring role of 'Hanrahan' in the series. Throughout the latter 2000's, David has had roles in commercials, films, television, had been a board member of Theatre Neo, and had launched davidgarry.com. In addition to the acting and performing world, David is the Volunteer Coordinator for Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times (a year-round camp serving children with cancer and their families), and celebrates more than 25 years of being involved with camps from young camper to administration over the years. David currently lives in Los Angeles, is a Libra, loves cold sesame noodles and hates evil. |
